Outback Desert Scenery

This light-hearted four-part series was developed and produced by Film Australia in conjunction with Warlpiri Media Association.

Filming for the series took place in three communities along the Tanami Track in Central Australia Yuendumu, Yuelamu and Willowra.

These communities embrace the lifestyle of the Tanami Track and show the humorous plights of living along the challenging and sparsely populated road.

The series is said to be dedicated to the amazing ingenuity of the aboriginal mechanics.

Weary travellers along the Tanami Track can take a break at Tilmouth Well, at the edge of Napperby Station.

Tilmouth Well has plenty to see and do, ranging from cattle work and horse riding, to taking a dip in the cool sparkling waters of Napperby Creek, surrounded by timeless river gums and home to a variety of wild life.
