Crocodile Dundee

The quintessential Australian flick, Crocodile Dundee, which launched ocker actor Paul Hogan in the US and was the top-grossing Australian film of all time, provided a brilliant travel brochure for the Top End.
A brash crocodile poacher, with a dry wit and mild habit of talking up his abilities and exploits, plays host to a New York journalist.
In one very memorable scene, saves her from the jaws of a saltwater crocodile, before being invited back to the States to take on the real jungle of New York.
While much of the film was set in America, the scenes dedicated to Australia were filmed in some of the Northern Territory’s most picturesque sites.
Visitors to Kakadu National Park will feel like they’re in the movie when they visit Ubirr and Gunlom Falls.
