Rogue

In the tradition of ‘80s Australian horror classic Razorback, the new film from Wolf Creek director Greg McLean, pits man against a massive, murderous and seemingly unstoppable beast.
In Rogue, the monster is a seven-metre saltwater crocodile, and the setting is the Northern Territory.
But not even a horror story about a group of tourists stranded on a tidal island and being stalked by a man-eating crocodile can take away from the beauty and allure of the Territory’s water ways.
Filming took place across a range of Territory locations, including the wetlands of Red Lily and Yellow Water billabongs in Kakadu National Park, with the majority in Nitmiluk National Park at Katherine Gorge.
Visitors to these dramatic locations are likely to see their fair share of crocodiles – although at Nitmiluk they will mostly find the more benign, freshwater variety.
With a little commonsense, you are unlikely to experience the horror of the film.
