This track is suitable for experienced walkers who are capable and well equipped. All food, water and sleeping requirements for the journey need to be carried in and out.
Although the track is marked with red arrows, all walkers should bring a map and compass. It is possible to complete the walk in one long day rather than two by starting early.

Kings Canyon Rim Walk to Reedy Creek |

Once on the Giles Track, the first part of the walk takes in beehive-shaped sandstone formations. Overlook vast sand plains before reaching a valley covered by eroded domes. The domes provide shelter for many reptiles and mammals, including the euro (small wallaby). |

Reedy Creek Campsite to Kathleen Springs |

Enjoy fantastic views while walking through bushland scared by fire. You might spot one of the area’s non-native camels across the landscape when the cliffs of Kathleen Springs come into view. Cross several watercourses before ending the trek at Kathleen Springs. |
