Day 1

Spend the morning exploring Gunlom Falls, located in the southern end of the park. Enjoy a swim or climb the escarpment for stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and learn about the culture, beliefs and lifestyle of the traditional Aboriginal owners. Cruise the tranquil, Yellow Water Billabong, fringed by pandanus, bamboo, paperbark and monsoon rainforest. |
Day 2

Travel by four-wheel-drive to Jim Jim and Twin Falls in the southern end of the park. In the morning enjoy a walk through rocky bushland to the base of Jim Jim Falls and be rewarded with a refreshing swim in the waterhole at the base. In the afternoon head to Twin Falls and take an easy walk to join a cruise with the local Aboriginal people who will take you to the base of the falls. |
Day 3

This morning travel to Nourlangie Rock, a famous Aboriginal art site consisting of ancient rock art galleries surrounded by diverse landforms of creeks, sandy alluvial plains, woodland and a vast sandstone escarpment. Learn about the park and its Aboriginal owners with a visit to the Bowali Visitor Centre. Continue on to Ubirr for the sunset and enjoy 360 degree views of the surrounding wetlands. |
Day 4

Join a four-wheel-drive guided tour into Arnhem Land. This morning visit the Injalak Art and Craft Centre, and then, joined by a local Aboriginal guide, venture up Injalak Hill to see the extensive rock art galleries. In the afternoon visit Minkinj Valley and enjoy a picnic lunch by a billabong. Spot wild brumbies, birds and possibly a saltwater crocodile while taking in the views of the valley. |
Day 5

Enjoy a cultural cruise on the East Alligator River before visiting Mamukala Wetlands, an area abundant with many native birds and wildlife. Cruise the Adelaide River and watch crocodiles launch themselves out of the water followed by a visit to Window on the Wetlands and a sunset at Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve. |
