The Didgeridoo

Producing a distinctive and wholesome natural sound, the didgeridoo is an ancient musical instrument.

Originating in Arnhem Land, similar instruments are found all across Australia.

Traditionally used in ceremonial performances, to imitate wildlife and share stories, travellers can listen to professionals playing the didgeridoo at markets and festivals, or buy one at an art gallery to take home.

The ritual of the didgeridoo is an important part of aboriginal culture and history. It is a unique experience best appreciated in the Northern Territory.
