Tropical Summer
Our tropical summer, from December to early March, is considered by many to be the northern region's most beautiful time of year.
Waterfalls flow freely, floodplains rejuvenate, flowers bloom and cracking thunderstorms light up the sky like a pyrotechnic display. Darwin, with its enviable outdoor lifestyle, slows to a relaxed pace so travellers can exchange traffic jams and sand-filled bathers for a less hectic itinerary.
