Working Holiday at Glen Helen
The MacDonnell Ranges stretch behind Alice Springs like ancient fortresses, guarding the treasures of the desert. Belgian backpacker Vincent de Bievre knows them well. He has travelled them on foot, by helicopter and on overnight camping trips from his base at Glen Helen Resort, 90 minutes west of Alice, where he is on a working holiday.
From Mount Sonder to the refreshing waters of Ormiston Gorge, the landscape, like the people Vincent meets, is colourful and ever-changing.
Like Vincent, you can experience Australia's Outback and the Northern Territory whilst backpacking in Australia.
