The Northern Territory is Australia's nature travel paradise. View rare species of flora, native wildlife and the most ancient reptile on the planet, the crocodile.

Saltwater and freshwater crocodiles are the most famous of the Territory’s wildlife and can be seen on a cruise down any number of rivers in the Top End or at the wildlife parks in Darwin.

Each of the Territory’s 52 national parks and nature conservation reserves protects the unique ecosystems and native animals, such as black-footed rock wallabies, red kangaroos and frill-neck lizards and birds, such as the brolga and jabiru.

Natural flora such as the Sturt’s Desert Pea and Rose, the Kaypok, Lotus Lily and Mulla Mulla can all be found in the Northern Territory.

Red desert sand, rainbow coloured rock formations and golden tinted chasms give the outback a distinct quality. It also hosts a variety of desert flora and fauna, such as Spinifex grass and the thorny devil.

The varied habitats and spectacular landscapes of the Northern Territory are unmatched for nature travel.
