Alice Springs Henley on Todd

Alice Springs is a colourful town which comes alive with art, sport and other unique festivals and events throughout the year.

Join in the fun at the Henley-on-Todd Regatta - a boat race on a dry sandy river bed. Or, celebrate Alice Springs’ quirky traditions by watching camels take to the track at the Camel Cup, which attracts visitors from all over the world. If horse racing is more your style, the Alice Springs Cup Carnival is an outback event not to be missed.

The Alice Desert Festival showcases the thriving community of visual and performing artists from the Central Australian region and you can choose from over 3,000 beanies displayed at the annual Beanie Festival.

Outback Learn - Henley on Todd

Henley-on-Todd Regatta
A boat race in a cloud of dust. There is nothing like it. The sandy bed of the Todd River becomes the race track for a crew of Flintstone-style boats.

Watch from the sidelines, or create your own craft and join the contest. Whichever you choose, you’ll have fun.

Outback Learn - Camel Cup

Camel Cup
Renowned for being strong willed, cantankerous and not entirely graceful, it is always a good show when camels take to the race track. It is nothing to see a camel sit down mid-race or veer off the track completely if the mood strikes it.

An experience you won't forget.
