Darwin International Airport

The Northern Territory's only international airport, Darwin Airport is located 12.

5 kilometres from central Darwin, and operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The airport is equipped with modern facilities and retail and dining outlets. There are shops in both the domestic and international areas for last-minute souvenirs, gifts and travel essentials, and duty-free outlets for international travellers in the departures and arrivals areas. Snacks and meals are available from the airport's cafes and fast-food outlets, plus there's an airport bar for those travellers longing for a last NT coldie. Throughout the terminal, travellers will find ATMs, public telephones, showers, toilets, foreign-exchange facilities, luggage lockers and lost-luggage services. Airport facilities are accessible to travellers with disabilities.

The Darwin Airport Shuttle transfers passengers between the airport and city accommodation, bookings can be made online. The airport car park is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and provides short- and long-term parking. Car rental counters are located in the Arrivals Hall on the ground floor, and a taxi rank and a private hire car rank is located outside the terminal. The public bus route 3 travels to and from the airport.
